How to find us.
By Car:
From the North and East access Chester area by M56 / M53 motorways or A55 outer bypass. Signposts 'North Wales' should be followed to avoid entering Chester city centre. From North Wales approach Chester area by A55 expressway. From the South use A41 (from Whitchurch). In all cases the A55 should be followed to its intersection with the A483 Wrexham-Chester road. Travellers from Wrexham and the south should simply take the A483 towards Chester.
At the A55 / A483 intersection follow signposts 'Chester' northwards on the A483 to pass the Chester Business Park, the Kings School and then the Nuffield Hospital on the right hand side before reaching a third roundabout which is the intersection with the A5104 Saltney road. At this roundabout, the fifth exit should be taken, this being reached by the right hand of the two lanes marked 'city'. This is Overleigh Road.
Overleigh (new) Cemetery is located on the South (right hand) side of Overleigh Road and the entrance gates are beside the cemetery lodge about 200 yards from the roundabout. Saint Barbara's church is reached by following the access drive to the right (marked by signposts on Overleigh Road and inside the cemetery gates).
By Train:
There is a frequent rail service to Chester railway station from the London, Manchester, and Liverpool directions with less frequent services from Shrewsbury and North Wales. There is a free bus from the station entrance (on production of your rail ticket) to the city centre. This bus connects with the Chester City bus service number 16 service to Saltney (ask for Overleigh Cemetery Gates), or the Arriva bus service number 1 to Wrexham (ask for the Nuffield Hospital - walk back to the roundabout and turn right into Overleigh Road). Alternatively by taxi from the station costing about £2.50.
